The Importance of Upgrades in World of Warcraft
Upgrades are a new kind of item that gives a boost to your stats. You can upgrade armor, weapons and trinkets with these.
Item upgrades use a system called "upgrade pity" to determine probabilities. This system is designed to reduce the risk of losing money and offer a safety net when you upgrade.
Armor
The item upgrader allows players to improve the level of equipment on their trinkets, armor and weapons. The upgrades are applied to the gear by visiting an item upgrader NPC with appropriate currencies. The attributes of an item are improved when upgrading it.
This NPC is located in every major city and is located in the city's corner square, near a teleport point. The NPC is able to upgrade any armor, weapon or trinket, with the exception of those which require a quest or crafting.
Note: The device you use to apply an upgrade is a consumable item forever. There are no multiple upgrades applied to one piece of gear; attempting to apply an upgrade using one that has already been applied will cause the previous upgrade to be overwritten.
Upgrade your equipment to increase the damage, your survival and overall power. For example, if you have new Benthic gear that you purchased from the War Within Mythic Dungeon, it will be ilvl 385 by default, and can be upgraded to a higher level using [Prismatic Manapearlsor [Prismatic Manapearls]. Upgrades for your PvE gear are available across all accounts, however upgrades for PvP gear require a specific currency, like [Valorstones] or [Harbinger Crestsor [Harbinger Crests]. The amount of Valorstones needed to upgrade any additional gear in an armor slot decreases after the first upgrade.
Weapons
Weapons are an important element of any successful character. They can be used to deter an evil monster, kill an intruder, or win a target-shooting competition. Or they can simply hang on the wall. Whatever way you decide on using a particular weapon, you should keep in mind that it's possible to upgrade it and change according to your style of play.
Upgrades to weapons can be made by visiting a blacksmith shop that has a Weapon Workbench available. The Blacksmith Hewg, which is located in the right part of the Roundtable Hold hub, is an excellent choice to upgrade your weapon. In general, upgrading an item will raise the weapon's level by 5. However in the case of Azerite weaponry (see below) and other weapons that are special the item's ilvl will increase by 15. A player can only have one active upgrade at a given time. If you try to upgrade a weapon when another upgrade is in use it will fail and your weapon will return to its original ilvl.
In addition to increasing the item level of a weapon upgrades also give it additional stats that can be used to enhance its effectiveness. Some of these improvements will be purely passive while others may provide increased damage, speedier attack as well as increased range or strike chance.
Ashes of War weapons are awarded when certain bosses in raids are defeated. Whetblades are rare items which unlock new weapons.
After a weapon has been fully upgraded, a player can continue to upgrade it as long as they have the right upgrade materials and currency. It's important to know that weapons can only be upgraded up to a maximum of ilvl 25. Players should upgrade their weapons only after they have completed the maximum amount of upgrades possible from regular and Whetblade item.
Trinkets
The Trinkets offer a variety of Boosts. They can be upgraded just like any other equipment through direct interaction with the Item Upgrader.

Similarly, the NPC at the Eastern Guard Tower offers a unique trinket to those who overcome the Ancient Beast.
Set Pieces
A set piece is a pivotal scene that elevates a film and lingers with audiences long after the credits have ended. It can be a scene involving action, emotion or even just visual spectacle.
